Understand and Navigate the Recruitment Process
UQ Business, Economics and Law Faculty - Recruitment Ready Program
Recruitment Ready helps Business, Economics and Law (BEL) students understand real-world recruitment processes and build the skills needed for competitive applications. Delivered every semester in collaboration with an industry partner, the program gives you hands-on experience in how employers assess candidates for internships, vacation programs and graduate roles.
The Recruitment Ready program will help you develop practical insights into:
- what to expect from a real recruitment process
- the behaviours, attributes and professional skills employers look for
- how to stand out and communicate your value confidently
- how to present professionally, in writing and in person
- how to reflect on feedback and improve for future applications
Over just a few weeks, you'll gain a clear understanding of the recruitment process - from submitting applications to interviewing - while practising the skills employers value most. The program is designed for mid-degree students and is best completed before applying for work experience or employment opportunities.
